Welcome neighbor! Salem State has been an integral part of the South Salem neighborhood for more than 115 years, and of the greater Salem community for over 150 years. We deeply value our relationships with our neighbors, the city of Salem, the greater North Shore, and beyond.
We take great pride in our community connections, which are based on open communication and collaboration. Neighborhood Advisory Committee
The SSUNAC meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 7 pm in room 106B of the Enterprise 麻豆成人精品 located on Central Campus at 121 Loring Avenue.
, including issues discussed at monthly meetings held between the city of Salem, the university and neighborhood representatives.

Snow Emergency Parking for South Salem Residents
During official, city declared snow emergencies that are announced via local media, a portion of Salem State鈥檚 O鈥橩eefe 麻豆成人精品 parking lot on Canal Street is available to residents of the South Salem neighborhood. This is the only lot available. Snow emergency parking permits are available at the parking office located at University Police on Central Campus. Please follow these instructions to obtain your permit and when parking:
- Register at University Police, 73 Loring Avenue, Monday-Thursday, 9 am-6 pm and Friday 9 am-12 pm.
- During snow emergencies*, display permit in vehicle on your dashboard.
- Park only in area designated "DURING SNOW EMERGENCY MUNICIPAL PERMIT PARKING ONLY" near the Lussier Street side of the lot.
- Vehicles must NOT enter the lot until the blue streetlights are flashing and must be removed from the lot immediately upon cancellation of the snow emergency, including evenings and weekends.
- Only 100 permits
